What I Love About My Small Home:
This is a loft above a commercial space that is in an 1890's era stone building, that I purchased in 2010 and gut renovated. I love the open feeling, which despite it's small size, is enhanced by the bright skylights and exposed framing. I put the insulation on the outside of the original framing when I replaced the roof, that way all the original rafters and collar ties are exposed, which gives it it's light, airy beachhouse vibe.
