What I Love About My Small Home:
That we’ve been able to make efficient enough use of the space so that 2 adults, a baby, a dog, and a cat can live comfortably. It’s definitely a challenge, but I love it. It’s an ongoing project—I’ll never be finished with this home.
I love the 1920’s architecture with the windows that make the space feel bigger than it is and allow for a lot of natural light. The location can't be beat; we are within a 10 minute walk of my 2 favorite Seattle parks (Greenlake and Ravenna).
Bringing our baby home to this place has been a great learning experience. We've really had to consider what is the most important to us as a family, and it has nothing to do with a house and the things in it and everything to do with a home and the people and relationships in it. Even though this isn't our forever home, I hope we take the lessons learned here with us forever.
