Like heatwaves and firework shows, Prime Day appears sometime in early July. However, just like five straight days of temperatures in the 90s, we don't exactly know when Prime Day will be until it's almost upon us. While there were some leaks in June, today Amazon made the official announcement: Prime Day 2018 will start on July 16, at 3 p.m. ET and run all day July 17. (Yes, that's 36 hours, but since this is Amazon, they get to make the rules about what qualifies as a day.)
