Plenty of people I know agree with the this Forbes article titled, “We Have Learned Nothing From The Mortgage Market Meltdown.” For example, certainly I hear grumbling from industry vets about the waning tax transcript requirements some lenders have. “I’ve seen dozens of potential loans where the tax transcript didn’t match what the borrower was telling us – sure signs of fraud – and the borrower went elsewhere,” one regional manager told me a few weeks ago.
