Q: A year ago I became a Southern transplant to NYC. Gone are my days of garages, basements, decks, and driveways in and on which to do all the DIY projects my heart desires. Heck, I barely even have space to store power tools in the tiny apartment I share with roommates. My question is this: does anyone know of any shared spaces in NYC (preferably Manhattan) where similarly spatially challenged folks can go to work on their DIY projects? Specifically, I have my heart set on a black and white ombre Christmas tree, but my apartment just doesn't have the space or ventilation needed for a spray paint project...
