Call it the Target effect. You walk into the store with a short list of things you need to buy, but walk out with a shopping bag chock-full of other less necessary items. Target is well known for its constantly revolving inventory of cute stuff at very reasonable prices, not to mention a wide range of affordable household basics. It all adds up to impulse buys that you don't think too hard about, or question, before popping in your cart.
Here are the things we have a hard time leaving the store without buying.
