I'm a big fan of rooms with a single bold element that totally makes the space. I love the simplicity of it — the idea that you could hang one oversized piece of art or cover one wall in a wildly patterned wallpaper and have everything else just fall into place. There are plenty of ways to get the look, but one of my very favorite room-making pieces — and also a great way to make a small space seem much bigger than it is — is an oversized mirror.
