Nightstands can be notoriously hard to find. Correction, good nightstands. Often the root of woes that I hear from friends, and heck, even myself, the search for nightstands can be arduous. How tall should they be? How many drawers are ideal? And, when, for instance, you are decorating a first apartment and have lots of other things to buy, I say: can't we just try something different, instead? So, in a throw-my-hands-up-in-the-air move of surrender, here are 9 examples of when a chair, rather than a proper nightstand, was good enough for now (and maybe later, too!).
