Before and After: An Unsightly Attic Becomes a Stylish Bedroom (with a Walk-In Closet to Boot)

When interior stylist Jaimy and her husband Marcel wanted a quieter place to live, they decided to move to her hometown...where they were able to buy her childhood home. To truly make it their own, the new home needed quite a few updates. One of the most striking transformations has been the attic. The idea was to let daughter DalĂ­ have the master bedroom, so Marcel and Jaimy could inhabit the top floor. It sure is spacious enough, but a lot work needed to be done. Like most attics, it had been used for storage without paying much attention to aesthetics. An outdated sink unit was still in place, but slowly falling apart. This floor was, to put it mildly, rather depressing.
