Apple is unveiling its new phones tomorrow, and it's basically confirmed now that prices will start at $1,000. That, as the New York Times puts it, is "luxury territory," and it's about what the cost of their entry level laptop retails for. While we surely have love for the design-driven brand (full disclosure: currently typing this from my beloved Macbook Pro as my iPhone 7 Plus sits within arm's reach), four figures can buy a lot.
