Dear Alice,

I've moved a few times. My (really, really good) friends helped me get into my first two apartments, but for the third I decided that I was a grownup and it was time to hire professional movers. I'm never going back.

Now that I'm in my new place I really want to start nesting, and that means painting my apartment. My friends and I are past the point where we can hire each other as movers for pizza and wine, but I feel like painting is another story. Am I too old to ask my friends to help me paint?
