I grew up surrounded by design magazines, old standards like Southern Living and Architectural Digest, but I think the point at which I really started to get excited about decorating was when old-school Domino first made its debut, in the summer of 2005. So that's ten years of looking at pictures, of watching trends. When I peruse those old issues I see lots of things that look a bit dated, but also, surprisingly, lots of things that we might have been tempted to think of as trends back then that still feel fresh and current. Here are five home decor "trends" that have beat the odds and just kept going and going.
